Deepening Practice with the Buddha's Teachings on Anatta

One of the deepest and most freeing practices within the teachings of the Buddha are his teachings on anatta or selflessness. When we really begin to penetrate into truth we discover an interesting thing. One teacher has summed it up in this one small phrase: "no self, nooooo problem!" So it is our clinging to a sense of self that has to be a certain way that causes suffering and stress in our lives.

In this retreat we will spend 4 delightful days together in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains inquiring into these teachings on selflessness.

  • Who is it that we really are?
  • Who is it that we thought we should be?

As we inquire in this way we will discover the fearlessness that lies beneath the mind's conditioning and begin to live from a place of inherent freedom, joy, and delight in the simple things of life. When we learn to die into life in this way, it is then that we really begin to live.

The retreat will include guided meditation, sitting and walking meditation, as well as work meditation, and interviews with the teacher.
