Vipassana Montana News (formerly called Intermountain Dharma Community News) is published three times a year by Vipassana Montana as a way of informing you of the retreats we have scheduled and updates on sangha activities.
 We trust that this format will enable you to better plan

The 10 Paramis

Ten-day residential retreat featuring Matthew Flickstein at the Blacktail Ranch at Wolf Creek, MT

This Vipassana (Insight) Meditation retreat will focus on the The 10 Paramis (see retreat details) It is designed for those students who have completed a minimum of one 3-day retreat. No partial attendance is available for this retreat. There will be alternating periods of sitting and walking practice, detailed instructions, daily discourses with questions and answer periods, and private interview times to discuss one's practice with the teacher.

Matthew Flickstein Matthew Flickstein is the resident teacher and founder of Forest Way Insight Meditation Center in Virginia and has been practicing and teaching Vipassana Meditation for over two decades. His primary teacher has been Bhante Gunaratana, a Buddhist monk for almost 60 years and author of Mindfulness in Plain English. Matthew has been a psychotherapist and is the author of Journey to the Center: A Meditation Workbook (Wisdom Publications, 1998), and Swallowing the River Ganges (Wisdom 2001).

Cost: $420.00. A deposit of $100.00 is due at the time of registration. The balance is due by May 11th, unless prior arrangements have been made with the registrar. There will be no refunds after this date.

Registrations postmarked after May 11th will be subject to a $25 late charge. Spaces are limited and registration will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. Register early, we expect this retreat to fill quickly and a waiting list will be developed. Several partial work scholarships are available.

Couples are not allowed to share rooms at this retreat.
